Pistols at Dawn is an Australian based menswear label, designed by Andrew Byrne and Josh McPherson. The ready to wear label seeks to produce unique modern pieces relevant to the lifestyle and climate of Australia.
The duo started the label in 2006, selling in local Brisbane retail outlets before opening their menswear store The Cloakroom, as the exclusive stockist of the Pistols at Dawn label. Their house style is based on a strong use of block colour, fine fabrics and subtle detailing—wardrobe staples that have been made to last.
The seasonal story consists of beautifully made pieces every man should own and explores interpretations of wardrobe essentials that best suit the climate, and time of year. The designers' philosophy is deeply rooted in a desire to avoid the trend driven fads of fashion and to create pieces that men can wear and interpret in their own style.
Made by a small team of highly skilled technicians, all pieces are finished by hand and bear all the hallmarks of a more considered style of manufacture. Key pieces from the range include half lined, unstructured jackets, soft-silhouetted suiting and a classic collection of cotton shirting.
